Gait Scan & Prescriptive Orthotics
Relief With Prescriptive Custom Orthotics
Your feet are the finely tuned interface between ‘terra-firma’ and the rest of your body. We take the simple task of each step for granted, and the direct impact abnormal foot biomechanics may effect the rest of your body. This domino effect is translated up the chain to your ankle, knees, hips joints, pelvis, spine and even up to your head, often not causing pain and discomfort until many years have passed which may have been prevented much earlier. Common foot problems we see include plantar fasciitis, heel spurs, metatarsalgia, pronation, ankle sprains, shin splints and achilles tendinopathy to name a few.
The good news is that most don't need orthotics. For those needing prescriptive orthotics you must have the right type depending upon your foot complaint. Like any other check-up, don’t ignore your feet and the direct impact this may have upon your health, mobility, function and discomfort on the many joints, muscles, tendons and ligaments especially in the active and elderly.
